Julie Wood PT, DPTI received my undergraduate degree at the University of San Francisco in psychology, and later my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chapman University in Orange County. After completing my graduate work, I continued with my lifelong passion and connection in working with children in pediatrics. I have over 10 years of experience working in the outpatient setting, specializing in treating children with neurodevelopment disabilities, gross motor developmental delays, down syndrome, torticollis, plagiocephaly and other orthopedic conditions. I have worked with children from a few weeks old to late teens. I received further education in pediatric yoga, treating children with hypotonia and torticollis.
I am a mother of 3 toddlers, 2 girls and a boy, who keep my days adventurous and busy. I know first hand that parenting is one of the most difficult, but most rewarding jobs. I have learned that it truly does take a village to raise a child, and that we should all be here to support each other on this journey. |
Mission Statement |
I am committed to providing the highest quality, evidence-based therapy for children/adolescents in collaboration with their families within an environment emphasizing effective communication, and mutual respect as partners in achieving the highest level of success for the child.

Philosophy |
As a Physical Therapist, I provide the senses, eyes to see and hands to feel, which help determine the road blocks that prevent a child’s typical development. I devise a plan and determine the tools needed to remove these blocks. However, with my guidance, it is the family that ultimately implements the tools that lead to success. Educating and empowering the family is my goal.
